Court stops INEC from engaging MC Oluomo to distribute election materials

 

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been ordered by the Federal High Court in Lagos to refrain from involving, using, or otherwise dealing with Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos Parks and Garages, in the distribution of election materials and ad hoc staff for the state’s upcoming elections.

Judge Chukwujekwu Aneke granted the order after the Labour Party, LP, and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, its candidate for governor of Lagos state, filed an application.

 

Enomaomoruyi learned that INEC was not present at the hearings.

 

Meanwhile, an attorney for the Labour Party told the court that the commission was served with the court papers.
