Gov Oyetola expresses sympathy for Davido and Deji Adeleke over Ifeanyi’s passing
Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has expressed his sympathy with Afrobeat singer, David Adedeji known professionally as Davido following the painful passing away of his son, Ifeanyi, saying that it is a loss no responsible person would ever wish for.
In a similar vein, he expressed sympathy for Davido’s father, Dr. Deji Adeleke, who lost his grandchild, stating that, as a grandfather himself, he understands Dr. Adeleke’s anguish.

The governor asked God to give him and his entire family consolation during this difficult moment.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, Oyetola said: “On behalf of myself and the people of Osun, I sympathise with Davido, over the death of his son, Ifeanyi. I know how painful it is to see a boy we all saw last week bubbling with life to now be referred to in the past. I pray God comfort you and Chioma. Rest assured, very soon, God will bless you both with another son who will live long to fulfil his dreams in life.”
Oyetola added: “I pray God give you both and your parents the fortitude to bear this painful loss.”
