The aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) known as G5, have travelled to Spain for a decisive meeting amid crisis rocking the party.
The governors reportedly left the country for Madrid on Friday night, hours after the Rivers Governor levelled new allegations against the party’s chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

Wike, during a press conference in Port Harcourt on Friday, heaped more accusations on Ayu, claiming that the national chairman lacked the integrity to lead the party’s 2023 campaign.
Following the outcome of the party’s presidential primary election, the aggrieved Governors insisted that the party’s national chairman and presidential candidate are both from the North.
They stated that until Ayu resigns as party chairman, they will abandon the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 election.
