Nigeria Decides 2023: Atiku wins Osun state
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has polled the highest number of votes in the February 25th presidential election in Osun state.
The Presidential election and National assembly elections were held across the 36 states of the nation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on the 25th of February.
Professor Folasade Ogunsola, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Officer for Osun State made this known at the INEC collation centre, Osogbo on Sunday.
Professor Ogunsola said that the PDP won with 354,366 votes, followed by the APC with 343,945 votes.
With only 23,283 votes, the Labour Party finished in a distant third place.
The outcome will be delivered to the INEC National Collation Centre in Abuja in accordance with the Electoral Act.
