Kanye West’s Instagram rampage was put to an end by Meta.
According to a Meta spokesperson, the tech company, formerly known as Facebook, suspended Kanye’s Instagram account @kanyewest for 24 hours on March 16 for violating policies on hate speech, bullying, and harassment. According to the spokesperson, Meta prohibited the “Heartless” rapper from posting, commenting, or sending direct messages during the time period.
The company frequently takes additional steps against accounts that repeatedly break rules, according to the spokesperson, and Meta will impose additional sanctions if Kanye continues to violate their policies.
It’s uncertain which of Kanye’s posts were in violation of the policies, but he’s recently posted about Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, Trevor Noah, Michael Che, and D.L. Hughley.
Kanye posted a photo of North’s backpack on Instagram earlier this week with the caption, This was on my daughters’ backpack when I was “allowed” to see her last week This is why I go so hard for my family I am wired to protect my family at all cost As the priest of my home Don’t worry Northy God is still alive.
