Video: Fireboy Gets Emotional After Performing With English Singer Ed Sheeran
Nigerian singer Fireboy DML on Wednesday got emotional over his latest global achievement.
The singer cried after performing on stage with Grammy winner Ed Sheeran to their hit song “Peru.”
Ed Sheeran will perform for five nights from June 24 to July 1 at Wembley Stadium in London, which has a capacity of approximately 90,000 people.
In a viral video, the singer was overwhelmed with emotion and burst into tears.
In July 2021, Fireboy released ‘Peru,’ which went viral and drew the attention of Ed Sheeran, who remixed it.
Ed Sheeran stated in December 2021 that he found ‘Peru’ addictive as he announced a collaboration with Fireboy.
Afrobeats is taking centre stage, with Nigerian musicians gaining international acclaim.
TEMS won two BET Awards with Wizkid a few weeks ago.
Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Fireboy, Ckay, and TEMS have all collaborated with global stars and performed in front of large crowds in other countries in 2022 alone.
