We Have Serious Security Challenges Confronting Us-Sultan Of Sokoto

Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has stated that Nigeria is facing a serious security crisis.
Abubakar spoke at the valedictory and welcome dinner for the 12th General Assembly of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
According to NAN, the event took place on Thursday in Abuja and welcomed new CAN President Rev. Daniel Okoh.
Rev. Samson Ayokunle is succeeded by a Rivers indigene born in Kano, Okoh, who was elected this week.
The Sultan reminded Nigerians that they did not create themselves and that they should work together to achieve unity.
“When God was creating us, he did not ask us ‘where do you want me to bring you into the world.”
“We are to understand one another with love and respect, as our various religions teach love and peace.
“We have serious security challenges confronting us, we can be trading blame; we have a lot to do to curb this.”
The leader of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs went on to say that Christians and Muslims must do what pleases God.
The Sultan urged citizens to create an enabling environment for peaceful polls ahead of the 2023 election.
Sultan Abubakar pledged his support for CAN and prayed to God to help the organization lead correctly.
